While most courses don't offer academic credit directly through edX at this time, we partner with a variety of institutions to offer credit-eligible courses. Please read below to learn more about how earning credit works through each of these partners.

MicroMasters Programs: MicroMasters programs are a series of graduate level courses from top universities designed to advance your career. They provide deep learning in a specific career field and are recognized by employers for their real job relevance. Students may apply to the university offering credit for the MicroMasters certificate and, if accepted, can pursue an accelerated and less expensive Master’s Degree. Credit is awarded after acceptance to the Masters program.
- MicroBachelors programs: Our MicroBachelors™ programs are a series of career path focused courses that upon completion will award academic credit. After completing all courses in the program in the verified track and receiving a certificate, you may elect to receive credit from our credit partner at no additional charge.

edX undergraduate credit courses: EdX offers a few individual courses which learners can purchase academic credit after successful completion on the verified track. The individual credit courses which may be available are:
- MIT - Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python (Charter Oak State College Credit)
Some educational institutions or organizations may offer you credit based on edX verified certificates. Students receive verified certificates after they earn a passing grade in a course that offers these certificates.
